Sad Day.
Obama said this morning that he isn't sure that his ill Grandmother will be around to see Election Day. Madelyn Dunham is her name and she is 85 years old with a birthday coming this weekend.
"And so maybe she is getting a sense of, of long-deserved recognition at — toward the end of her life," Obama told ABC.
One thing that made me laugh is that his grandmother was known as TOOT because she didn't like to be called grandmother. Powerful lady, to help raise such a dynamic american.

Just got home from another long day with a client. I have to say that it was nice to jump onto this site and 'catch' up on some political topics that I have been out of touch with for the past week. Keep them coming!!
Ps. Toot is a strong white woman. Caucasions have done wonderful jobs raising biracial children in this world. This not only has personally touched me but has made me proud in many ways. (almost shed a tear here.....lol)
Being a biracial woman, I can't start to explain or help someone have empathy for racial incidents that are thrown from every way. People think that it is easier being of mixed race. I mean hell, biracial children are less 'so called intimidating' because of the hair and so forth right(http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1584736,00.html)? What people don't understand is that it is actually harder navigating life. Obama shows that biracial children are not alone and it is possible to not have to fully choose sides but to unite as one.
